First, my primary job, keying in the survey forms, I got to get into the world of teenagers about sex. Their different perceptions of when is the right time for sex. Most of course said after marriage..but I do wonder, do they really choose after marriage because they believe so and will do it? Or do they choose it because it's just the 'right' thing to do?
From survey forms to registration and evaluation forms, the registration form can be pretty interesting data as well. Getting to know new names...and I can get quite curious especially on how they choose email address. Evaluation forms shows how effective the workshop has been for the students. They get to comment on what they learn and what improvements should be made. The lessons learned are pretty encouraging although the comments on the workshop can get pretty lame.
My secondary task would be scanning articles for the research department. Lots and lots of newspaper cuttings to be scanned and to keyed in to the archive system. As I scanned them in and updating the archive, I get to read some of the articles..and I realize..there are a lot of information there that I could have gotten for my past assignments. Those are of great sources to make the assignments more firm. Know where to get sources next time round when doing assignment..
Well..those 2 activities are on daily basis..just added in a new activity this month though..which is reading relevant books and summarizing it. Just finished an INSPIRING book today on parenting.
Oh yeah..not forgetting, able to discuss with the counselor, Liz Samuels, who used to be a family doctor, then took counseling. She's a very wise person. Passionate too. Though I have not click with her, from the way she talks, she's someone I'd respect. Anyway, learned a new counseling skill from her and able to gain a little knowledge on counseling, though not my interest.
